Email Server	1/16/08, 8am: ATTENTION @SNIP.NET E-mail Users: There has been a SPAM Message being distributed to our users claiming we have asked you to verify and update your snip.net E-mail Address. An example looks like this: " Dear snip.net Email Owner, This message is from snip.net messaging center to all snip.net email users. We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail center. We are deleting all unused snip.net emails to create more space for new snip.net e-mail accounts. You are required to verify and update your snip.net email by confirming your email identity." Sending your details to account upgradwebmail.messaging@gmail.com. This will prevent your email from been closed during this exercise." At no time will SNiP ask you to update and verify your e-mail address via e-mail. As your e-mail provider, we already have that on-file. To protect your identify, we urge our customers to keep all username and password information private, and to delete messages like these should they find their way into your e-mail box. News Server	For many years, SNiP has provided our customers with free access to USENET newsgroups. Due to the limited use of this service by our customers, SNiP will be suspending this service beginning Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Customers who wish to continue to receive this service can subscribe on their own to a third-party news provide such as Giganews (www.giganews.com). Giganews offers plans starting at $7.99 per month and unlimited plans starting at $24.99 per month. Some newsgroups can also be accessed via the web through Google Groups (groups.google.com), which is a free service.
